Arizona State Championship
The Skating Club of Phoenix is pleased to announce an inaugural annual competition: Arizona State Championships (AZSC)! With the restructuring of the Qualifying Series a couple of years ago we recognized a gap for many Arizona-based higher level skaters who would previously have competed at Regional competitions, representing the culmination of their competition year. As such, we have created a new competition for higher level skaters to compete at, in place of Regionals. In addition, The Skating Club of Phoenix is taking over the LOC for Desert West (Basic Skills Compete USA event), previously hosted by AZ Ice Peoria.
We plan to run both competitions together during the same weekend, the planned schedule for the weekend will likely be:
Friday 10/13/23; afternoon only: AZ State Championships Short Programs
Saturday 10/14/23: remaining AZ State Championships events, and some Desert West events in between
Sunday 10/15/23: remaining Desert West events
